Dr. Gianluca Cornetta earned his DrEng. Degree and his PhD degrees in electronic engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain) respectively. Presently he is an associate professor in the Dept. of Information Technology of the Polytechnic School of Universidad San Pablo-CEU (Madrid, Spain). Before joining Lumency as CTO he has been an R&D engineer at Infineon Technologies Gmbh (Munich, Germany) developing embedded flash memories for the automotive and industrial market, and a software analyst and programmer at Tecsidel S.A. (Barcelona, Spain) developing real-time software for automatic toll systems.
Field of Expertise
Dr. Cornetta research interests are very broad and include distributed embedded machine learning techniques for IoT and edge devices, energy scavenging techniques for IoT devices, digital, mixed-signal and analog microelectronics with special emphasis on RF design.
